RE: Warrior's assets siezed

So does this mean I will never be reimpersed for my fuel station pump. It was 250.00. I guess it could be worse. I don't have pictures nor was I there, but many of you may remember me when you called in. I was the "Alan" in the warranty department. I was laid off June 18th and have been quite about the situation there at Warrior. I do not have hard feelings about Warrior and wished it could have continued. I just spoke with Rafael (customer service manger) and he confirmed that the bank has indeed taken over Weekend Warrior. They were doing weekly inventories and 2 large items came up missing this week. The bank felt they had no choice but to protect their money and sent a private security company on Friday to lock the gates and escort the remaining employees out. Rafael told me he was one of the last to leave and that Mark handed him his check. Rafeal and I worked very hard for all of you and for Mark but unfortunately some bad decisions were made and the corrections were not made fast enough. As for the future, it looks bleak. According to Rafael, the bank with sell everything it can, parts, inventory, machines, buildings, and then will auction the rest to the highest bidder. Rafael did not know what was to become of the units in for service. Obviously they are still your units, but I do not know if the bank will allow them to be repaired or if they will send them home in their current condition. I was happy to have spoken with many of you over the phone and sorry that the company has let ALL of us down. It was a fun ride, but the ride is now over.

RE: gas.... how much more is it really costing you?

I don't think it is the cost of gas "for the trip" It is the overall cost of getting to work, kids to school. It is obvious retail spending is way down. Fuel cost's per month is what is affecting us all. I'm asking this because I think there is some kind of "sky is falling" attitude out there. How many posts have asked "are you giving up RVing?" "are you sitting home this summer?". I just got home from Utah, and my nieghbor asked me "how can you go traveling with gas so high?" So I did the math for him. I traveled 1200 miles and spent 8 days on the Piaute trails. If gas were $3 a gallon I would have saved about $160......FOR THE WHOLE TRIP! INCLUDING GAS FOR THE QUADS! it cost me an extra $20 per day at todays prices. I could save that by eating out less. Come on folks, we have to end this "end of the world" attitude which is hurting our economy, driving down RV prices and closing shops, hurting the big three truck sales, and effects us all. Let's go RVing and enjoy the time with our kids, life is way too short to be hiding at home.

RE: Anyone cancelling there 4th of july trip ??

Ok it was my post !! I called my buddy. I will share the gas and we will take his truck and hauler. It's just me and my son and him and his son. So we will have plenty of room. I prefer my own hauler. But !! The kids will love to be together !!

RE: Another Gas/Consumption/Cost Discussion

I can afford the gas !! But, I ain't buying what they are selling. I ride and drive hard. I like having my foot in it !! But, the reality is if you guys keep buying they will keep selling. I cut my gas consumption by 60 percent. At least. I bike to work. I am in great shape now. Thanks to the biking.Trips are for the holidays only for now. If you dont bike, consider a street bike or enduro. Everyday I get on my bicycle I stick to the oil company's. You guys can to.

RE: Weekend Warrior Thumbs Up...

I had to bring my WW to the factory in Perris for some warranty work as well as some non warranty work. It had nothing to do with the WW lawsuit. Long story short.... they fixed everything perfectly and cleaned the unit so it looks like new! Someone even made my bed up! This is our second WW and we're still happy campers! While clicking your heels together 3 times, keep saying "I think its fixed, I think its fixed, I think its fixed" and just keep a blind eye closed to the obvious. Sorry, but I am NO fan of WW and think they screwed up a good brand with their lousy workmanship and service years ago. I, for one, will never buy or own a WW no matter how many "happy" stories I hear. I am happy with mine but will never buy one of theirs again. Would never take a chance I need solid craftsmanship !!

RE: WW SX1800 Experience?

I have not weighed it. Thats the same genny I have. 2007 Model. Oh also on my model no sink in bath. But I have plenty of room for 2 bikes and 2 quads. The hotwater heater is also a pain.

RE: WW SX1800 Experience?

The tires had a known problem. I still run the 14's. I have changed the tires to Maxxis. I think production of the trailers is much slower now so I would hope for a cleaner build. If it were me personally I would only buy from a major player at this time. Because of the economy. I bought the Chinese genny it came with. It performs great.......A bit loud but great. There is no remote switch so I usually send my Son out to turn it off ;-) I would purchase a great portable genny w/remote separate. You have to manually light the stove. At least on my model. The heater is a problem because it is loud. But I can deal. The heat and A/C keep the little unit toasty or chilly. Any questions feel free to ask.
